The following are updates, ongoing initiatives, and information of significance to CSA Exam candidates:

The health and safety of our employees, clients, and candidates is of utmost importance to the NCCSA. The status of COVID-19 spread, and infection continues to change daily. The NCCSA and its testing partner Prometric, continue to monitor governmental policies and health advisory policies in updating our operational policies. Our primary interest is in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all those we serve—including our test taker candidates, the staff that provide professional and compassionate service at the testing locations, the individuals that provide back-office support functions that keep the organization running, and the many partners and vendors we rely on to perform critical services.

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread throughout the communities where we live and work, in order to continue to help protect the health and safety of these candidates, clients, and employees, we concur with Prometric in their difficult decision to cease normal testing operations in the US and Canada through mid-April.  At this time, they have not updated their policy on this, and are assessing a number of factors prior to making a determination on this. Prometric’s leadership is currently looking at different solutions for test-center resumption and will communicate out any updates as soon as possible.

Prometric's Candidate Care team is continuing to work through a significant number of rescheduling and canceling transactions that are the direct result of COVID-19 procedures.

Candidates that are a part of a Surgical Assistant Program will be provided guidance in order to reschedule and how to obtain it.

We are also obtaining guidance from our client to support candidates who must test within a specified period and how we are able to accommodate them.
